Graffiti art and the Vespa add a punch of color to this new work and entertaining space

Driveway renaissance

When the owners moved in, their backyard consisted of a broken old driveway, nandina forest and  mosquito-infested groundcover. Not a very inviting place to spend time! But with some selective editing and a  few new materials, it now doubles as a work space outside the garage and an entertainment area. An additional patio adds winter ‘sun pocket’ seating and connects the green space behind the house to the work/play area. Luckily these homeowners had a great piece of graffiti art–and a coincidentally matching Vespa–to hide the fence while some new grasses grow in.
